Nestled on the outskirts of Glendalough, the project brief required a  thoughtful approach to building a luxury mountain retreat. A flexible range of eco-cottages, a large event space, games room, dining room and kitchen were developed. The accommodation was conscientiously designed to take advantage of the incredible mountain views and to allow the user to feel connected with the landscape at all times. The conversion of 6no. 30 year old houses to A rated luxury rental accommodation which included full reconfiguration and refurbishment. The houses are externally insulated and include solar PV panels and Air to water heat pumps.  The furniture, fittings & materials used were sourced locally and as sustainably as possible. The project also included the conversion of an existing Garage to a Kitchen and communal Dining area and the building of a timber circular Yoga Retreat Room. All with extensive landscaping, external  sauna pods, ice baths and outdoor recreation areas to create this Eco Hideaway Resort.
